Sr. Structural Engineer

Job Summary:

The Sr. Structural Engineer position is responsible for conducting calculations and structural analysis of products and projects assuring compliance with project specifications, applicable building codes and specifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Use engineering tools such as FEA and calculation software to produce calculation packages. This includes, but is not limited to:

o Finite element analysis for glass

o Finite element analysis for structures

o Dynamic analysis considering code suggested forcing functions; interpretation of data

o Using Mathcad or similar to clearly communicate mathematical models and calculations created from engineering knowledge or as required by building codes

· Identifying design constraints and deriving loads to be applied to the structure

· Collaborate with architect, engineers and contractors as necessary to execute design

· Advise and communicate designs and structural requirements to other designers that don't have a structural engineering background

· Create calculation package and review and consult with third party engineers as necessary

· Solve structural problems related to geometry and strength requirements for custom projects

· Solving field engineering issues that arise - field fixes, alternative methods, design changes

· Hold 1-5 professional engineer licenses in states and serve as individual in responsible charge on some jobs as needed

· Act as a mentor for Structural Engineers

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (PE) or similar

· FE/EIT/EI exam certification

· 3 or more years of relevant experience

· Experience with structural analysis, FEA software, and AutoCAD

· Strong understanding of materials, building codes, and engineering principles

· Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in construction or manufacturing industries

· Experience with steel, aluminum and concrete design

· Professional Engineering certification

Job Types: Full-time, Walk-In

Salary: From ₹100,000.00 per month
