Baker Hughes TPS Valves is on a journey to transform its Product Configuration processes and digital technologies across all its’ product line, to speed up response to customer inquiry, drive standardized product offerings, reduce costs & delivery lead times and increase quality. This Mechanical Architect will lead the technical design, configuration & development of Rulestream/Teamcenter/SAP based Digital Configuration Management applications
As a Mechanical Architect Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Defining all components of the technological solution (inference/rules engine; integrations, & UI) & data model including solution specifications (Technical Design Document), software configuration & code, and associated IT infrastructure.
Gaining deep understanding of business processes from ITO to OTR in valve product company, to design and develop a robust solution/system technology framework to meet business, functional & user requirements.
Working as a Digital Technology business partner & change agent with Product Management & Business Process Leaders as well as application End Users.
Producing documented application frameworks or architectures.
Ensuring that specific IT implementation standards are incorporated in to the implementation activity from the start of the project, including standard means of documentation, use of applications, other system standards.
Identifying, scope, and lead business/site readiness projects to prepare for digital configuration management rollout. Also, Co-ordinate and oversee user acceptance testing based on the functional and non-functional specifications.
Working with the Operational Support Leader to ensure appropriate post go-live and on-going Operational Support (L2/L3/System Admin). Also, Generate documentation on technical best practices and other technical assets for reuse.
Generating, or provide input into the creation of, technical and functional specifications and software development methodology, and align these with the Delivery Methodology templates.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have bachelor's in Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
Have Minimum 3 yrs. of design/architecture, development & deployment experience on enterprise level design automation (Such as Rulestream, Teamcenter & SAP) production implementations.
Have experience of working in projects following an Agile/SCRUM implementation approach.
Have exposure to Azure cloud based system, GitHub etc.
Be willing to travel globally.
Be able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
Have hands on design/architecture & development experience of integrating Rulestream applications with PLM, CAD (e.g., Creo, NX, Solidworks) and other Enterprise Applications such as SAP, Oracle. (Desirable)
